D&RGW 498 and 484 taking water at LaJara, Colorado in 1967, next to last year of narrow gauge freight operations: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 80&nseq=11 Steam still passes here occasionally, but it is a standard gauge SP 2-6-0 and the third rail was removed in 1970. |
