One has to wonder with the current atavistic legislative impulses to turbocharge the FRA and bring back ICC style rate regulation from its well-deserved death, the inevitable march of technology (will you run a steam engine with electropneumatic brakes and if you do, would it be so radically different than what was as to be a fantasy?), the perennial fears of high insurance/getting sued into the stratosphere, etc.

Will interpretation in the future be am old train of Amtrak cards sitting still ala this old Airbus?

The Rock Island already did this with their "Track One" restaurant which was located in La Salle Street Station in Chicago. At least it will be the safest airline in the world..................
