It didn't survive, of course, but a nice little 4-4-2 at Readville, Mass. on 10/17/32. Never saw a photo of one of these before.

A few years later than the pic, this and some sisters were the protection power for the streamlined "Comet" motor train. When the Comet occasionally fizzled, a 4-4-2 and two "American Flyer" coaches were a good substitute for the fast schedule between Boston and Providence.
