I grew up there. Many of my friends' fathers worked for the MILW. No one would have thought at that time that all the shops complex, roundhouse, etc., would now be a empty field.

When was the Deer Lodge roundhouse razed? My understanding was it was still standing several years ago, after the RR was abandoned.

It was definitely gone by the fall of 1995, when I passed through Deer Lodge and looked for it.
