Does anyone have list of the NYC E8A and E8 numbers that would have been on the locomotives. Looking for the Lighting scheme or 2 tone grey scheme numbers to be more specific.

NYC E8 numbers: started at 4036 and went to 4095. Also, 4003 and 4020 were originally E7s that were wrecked and were "rebuilt" by EMD as E8s (probably only the truck frames and a few other minor items reused-- the "rebuild" was a bookkeeping exercise).

All these units were delivered in the two-tone gray lightning stripe paint scheme, and all eventually were repainted in the solid gray "cigar band" style by the early 1960s.
