Apparently an ex-New Haven 4-4-0, at Kingston, Rhode Island, 5/12/34: http://abpr2.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi? ... /ngp20.jpg It didn't survive, but the NP lasted into the late-1970s, with a variety of small industrial locomotives and railbusses. The shortline is now a bike trail, but the enginehouse is said to still exist. A Cuban-design Alco 2-6-0 that went to the NP was last used by the Bath & Hammondsport, later going to Rail City in northern NY and now said to be at the Western Maryland Scenic undergoing overhaul. |
