Post subject:  NKP Sleeper on "home" rails

The Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society's Nickel Plate Road sleeping car made it to Scranton, PA today. Here is a photo of it going through the Delaware Water Gap, the first time it was back on this part of its original route since 1963:

I saw this car arriving in Scranton around 6:30 PM. What a sight at the end of a freight train! The University of Scranton soccer team passing by did not find it at all impressive, but then again, they haven't seen the inside.

And today it is being switched outside my tower window by a genuine, restored NKP GP-9...
