I understand that cars 21 & 22 have been returned to Yakima, but whatever happened to car #20?

Thanks,
Chris Allan

According to the excellent online database managed by Frank Hicks and Jeff Hakner, Yakima Valley Traction #21 is stored in a private collection in Snoqualmie, Washington.

If I remember correctly, these cars are basically sitting in the wilds of Washington state, so I am curious as to their shape. I remember reading a bumper sticker once that said "Welcome to Washington State, where the only thing that doesn't rust is wood - which rots" so I imagine preservation in the Pacific Northwest is challenging.

The on-line database:

David's correct, the privately-owned YVT car in Snoqualmie is in pretty poor shape. Last I heard it had a tree growing through it. It's stored on a siding near the Northwest Railway Museum along with a Pacific Northwest Traction carbody and Portland Traction 1058, a very historic Niles car originally from Jersey City Traction.
