Former SMS Baldwin DS4-4-1000 302 has been restored to original PRR Brunswick Green livery as of this past weekend.

Looks Great.....I wonder if they are going to put the 9423 back into Pennsy colors....I see it there sitting in the background.

Nice to see all these former NH&I loco's in once place again.

I am a bit confused as to why the engine was given the number 9069. If it was number 8019 on the Pennsy, why not give it its old number back? And the 9069 number doesn't seem to have any historical significance from its other owners since it was a PRR locomotive. I am sure there must be some reasoning for this number. Can anyone explain it? Thanks.

Thanks very much for the clarification. Apparently SMS's website, as reported by Mr. Mitchell, uses the word NEW to indicate the number of the locomotive when it was first delivered to whomever purchased the engine. I took it to mean that new was the NEW number given to the engine. My misinterpretation. Sorry for the confusion.
