I have a Spectrum HO Scale Southern 2-8-0 #722. It is a beautiful engine and runs like a top too! Before obtaining it, I had an idea to kitbash it into SRR #385 and give it MCC markings complete with the signature on the cab and SRR Markings too. After running it last Christmas, I thought that it was way too gorgeous to kitbash and possibly ruin trying to make one engine look like another. I am in the market for another one so I won't have to worry about messing up. What sort of details, how much of a project am I looking at to make this engine look like SRR/MCC#385? Keep in mind that I already know the two engines in question are entirely different classes, same wheel config. |

Try and find a Varney 'Old Lady', built during the 60's. They even came painted green! |

I agree with Marty.... And don't forget to move the bell to the smokebox! |

Hey thanks guys! I think by getting a Varney instead will also save me money too. Well, not including jewlery and appliances too. |
