I got a lot of spaces where pictures should have been and a video camera advertisement. Anybody else out there have better luck?

Try it again Dave. I think Geocities was having some server problems earlier. I just successfully viewed the page myself. Those SR Ks Class wheels sure look small sitting next to the PRR K-4 Class wheels :-).

Dave,

Yahoo limits the amount of views per-hour on their pages. It's 8:41AM now, so I have to wait until 9AM until Yahoo "opens" it again.

Yep, isn't that real nice. Yahoo has alot of little "features" that are a real pain in the butt.

OK, guys, as of 10 AM it has exceeded is allocated data transfer. Intercourse Yahoo. You TVRR guys are a class act - why not cough up the $29.99 for a site of your own?

Dave,

We do have our own site: www.tvrail.com. The geocities site is done by member Steve Freer on his own time. He took this upon himself so that he could try to keep everyone current with ongoing work. The other website takes more effort to get changed. Steve can update his page whenever he needs to. I think we should thank Steve for his efforts in trying to keep everyone up to speed on continuing TVRM activities.

Steve: I got in for awhile and made it thru three of the updates before I got booted. I was certainly impressed with your shop and volunteers ..your folks are doing some great work. Thanks

Hey....the Geocities site is free, and I guess you get what you pay for. It works pretty well until a bunch of "hits" come in all at once. I suppose that's my fault for posting a message on the discussion board. Anyway, I can upgrade the "free" no-frills site to something better for $8.95 per month. That is $8.95 that I'm not in a position to spend. Anyone care to make a monthly donation? Also, thanks for the words of support Mark. I do what I can, but it's not anything compared to the volume of work you do in the shop. The Shop Rats rock!

The TVRM shop crew is the best, both the paid staff led by George Walker and the volunteer wheel shop guys ("shop rats") led by Mark Ray. By the way, maybe the best time to view the update page is during the over night hours...or in a few days when the volume of hourly hits subsides.
