While I'm at it:

I was recently pleased to find that Michigan now has an amazing area to do research for those of us who are interested in Michigan Railroads. The famous Grand Trunk Western Depot at Durand, Michigan now houses an excellent museum and archives that is researchable by request. Better yet, you can now search through their collections online through the following link:

Oh, if each state had such a suitable place for research (and donation)......

The Baltimore Streetcar Museum in Baltimore houses the Maryland Rail Heritage Library, a joint effort of the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and the Baltimore Chapter NRHS. It's open every Wednesday 10 am to whenever, and the second Sunday of the month. No website or online archive yet, but very useful--it's gotten much traffic from the Smithsonian and the National Building Museum in DC. Very heavy on trade periodicals, electric railway history and information, books, photos, slides, and drawings.
