Looks like something I would have done as a little kid. My Mom would drive me over to the Frisco ROW to watch my Dad come up the hill out of Lindenwood during WWII and I was always in trouble for getting too close to the tracks.
I could plan on a good chewing out every time I went with him to the roundhouse for coming home full of coal and grease dirt.
Parents just didn't understand it was a growing ointment.
