This meandering feature article leaves two unanswered questions:

1. Will restoration of 269 get underway for museum operation?

2. Or, is this streetcar to be a starter trolley for the proposed Peachtree heritage line?

Very good for them! Paul has done a huge amount in developing a reletionship between the museum and MARTA(metro atlanta rapid transit authority)...will be good to see street cars in atlanta.
Now a very serious question...maybe Paul can answer this a bit...what is involved in the $200million start up cost? How does the cost per mile of street level trackage compare to the 1.25million per mile for mainline trackage?

The car at this point will get a cosmetic job. There are two of these cars at the museum. There is also a trackless trolley at MARTA now getting rebuilt that will be coming back to SRM. Andrew Durden is on here and he can comment more about the current status about the trollies. I have been away and out of the loop for several months now. As for Paul, I am not sure if he is on here or not.
