Our group has a couple of pump cars, one standard gauge, one narrow gauge. We are a narrow gauge railroad. We use the standard gauge car for occasional off site outreach (we have 70' of light rail panel track.)

Recently there has been a suggestion to sell off the standard gauge car. We have one undefined offer, which the board would like to consider. With that in mind, what is a pump car worth. This is a Buda, circa 1907, functional, but highly restored, it is hard to claim as an true artifact.

We are also taking into account issues of artifact de-accessioning in accordance with good museum practice. In particular we would want the car to stay in a preservation environment.
