Anyone out there got a copy of the manual or drawings for the sliding door version of the National Pneumatic Door Opener? I have the swinging door version that I got from John Suscheck at Ozark Railcar, but was wondering if anyone had anything specific on the sliding door version... Incidentally, these were on many of the 1950 Pullman order placed by the C&O. Thanks, Michael Brown |

Donold Curry at the Seashore Trolley Museum has worked on those door openers recently. They were also used on any number of street cars and Interurbans. I recall him saying that they could be set up for either left or right hand operation with the same device. Ted Miles |

I think the National Pneumatic line of transit products went to Vapor and that in turn became part of Westingthouse Air Brake. After a merger Wabco became Wabtec. I would suggest checking with the Passenger Transit group of Wabtec. http://www.wabtec.com/ http://www.wabtec.com/main/contact.asp |
