Post subject:  NP Business Car at IRM

On a visit to IRM several years ago, I walked through all the car barns. In the barn containing passenger cars I am certain that there was an NP heavyweight business car. It had some lights inside so that viewers could look through the windows and see the furnishings. At that time, most of the cars in the barn were in unrestored condition and not pristine. But when I search the IRM website now there is no mention of any NP passenger equipment. So for Bob Kutella or any other IRM folks - was I dreaming or has this car been moved or sold to another party?

Thanks!

Scott

I do not recall any NP heavyweight passenger equipment at IRM. We do have CB&Q 481 painted in NP colors (light green/dark green) for the shared pool service. Also a stainless steel fluted side streamlined car from the NP.

I am guessing you saw the heavyweight ELY in the barns with interior lit and on display. That is Nevada Northern 10 (NN) which might be the car you are now remembering as NP.
