We've just put online a mobile/handheld website based off the steamlocomotive.info website. With your cell phone/pda/blackberry/whatever you can browse to:

http://www.steamlocomotive.mobi

You'll see that you have two choices:
Choose Screen Width
Search for a Locomotive

Most handhelds have a screen width of 240 pixels. This is the default, and will be used throughout the site if you don't set a screen width. If your mobile browser doesn't accept cookies then you're stuck with a screenwidth of 240 on this site.

Search for a Locomotive asks you to enter a city name. Enter a city name in the box, and click the Search button. You'll get a list of locomotives found in that city.

You can then click on an individual locomotive and you'll get an information screen that gives you details, and enables you to comment or to view a picture.

We're open to suggestions as to what else we might include.

Hope those of you with mobile web service will try it out, and let us know what you think.
