A few weeks ago steamlocomotive.info had photos of a total of about 3550 steam locomotives, and new photos dribbled in at the rate of four or five per week.

That changed abruptly, thanks to five contributors, and I'd like to publicly thank them here:

Horst Wolff from Brazil (who is a new member here) has contributed photos of 137 locomotives in Bolivia, Brazil, Zambia, Chile and Zimbabwe

Vince Haworth from the UK has contributed photos of 47 locomotives in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Serbia and Slovenia.

Matt Manness, a sailor in the U.S. Navy has contributed photos of 42 locomotives in Japan.

Terry Wallace contributed photos of 40 locomotives in Bosnia, Slovenia and Spain.

And most astonishingly, Phil Horton of the UK contributed photos of 274 locomotives in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, the UK and Ukraine.

While running and maintain steamlocomotive.info has been occassionally painful, it is wonderful contributions like the ones above that make the time effort and cost all worthwhile.
