This should be a steel, cupola, ATSF to SLSF caboose. In any case, does anyone know the road number?

Thanks, Roger

So, seriously, talk the auctioneers into posting a photo of the coach.

What shape is that in? Should preservationists be interested, or is it only fit for gutting for another restaurant? Or might it be yet another Lackawanna trailer someone painted "FRISCO" on?

Howdy,

That wood caboose sure looks like a steel, cupola, ATSF #?/SLSF 1164/BN 11517 car to me! The area around the window that looks like it's welded over appears to be rusting.

I think this is the same caboose reported to be near Trumbull, as well as Palmer & Ferris, TX.

Anyone have any thoughts on the above?

Thanks, Roger

It's one of the ex Santa Fe cabooses that wound up on the Frisco. Coach is not Frisco.

The coach is definitely an ex-Rock Island 2500 series coach from the CRI&P's Chicago area commuter service. Anyone know:

1. The car number?

2. Whether the car has an intact interior?

3. The cars overall condition?

Thanks.

Les
