Post subject:  BCER 1225

BCER 1225 was built by the St. Louis Car Company in 1912. It began service for the BCER Co. in the late spring of 1913 mainly on the Steveston to Vancouver route. At a little after 0100 hrs, February, 28th, 1958 BCER 1225 pulled into Marpole station and the interurban era of Greater Vancouver ended. Soon after the car was sold to the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, Ca. After what must have been an interesting journey on its own wheels to California BCER 1225 remained in that state until August 2005 when it was purchased by the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society and returned to B.C.
Since returning the car is being rehabilitated in order to operate as a heritage tourist attraction on a portion of the original BCER Chilliwack line in Surrey, B.C.
