Buffalo Southern Railroad has some Alcos on the "chopping block",
if another use/home can not be found for these engines, they will likely be scrapped.

Buffalo Southern 107 was originally Lehigh Valley 151.
Alco S2, built 1942.

84 is also a S2, and has spent her entire life in Buffalo..
she was built new for the South Buffalo in 1948,
then later became BSOR 84.
(she will be 60 years old in December)

And a third un-used Alco sits a few hundred feet down the line,
a RS3, BSOR 28, ex- Adirondack 28.

How's the condition? Intact enough to operate, missing a few parts, missing a lot of parts, missing everything under the hoods?

The "Alco-Haulic" Western NY and Pa. is close enough to possibly loan parts and labor to get the ex-LV loco to a better home, such as the Anthracite Ry. Historical Society, Jim Thorpe, Sayre, or elsewhere in LV turf (even NY State qualifies).......

I believe they are complete (but cant say with 100% certainty)
but they have not operated in many years.
I honestly dont know much about their exact condition other than that.
