Hello. I don't post often, but am a constant lurker...

I heard this morning on WTMD (Towson University's Radio Station) that Baltimore County is going to sell the small county-owned piece of land on which the remaining Ma & Pa bridge abutments rest on York Road in Towson.

From the news blurb, it seemed developers were very interested in this plot.

What does this say for the abutments? Supposedly, there is some sort of plaque marking thier significance, but are they "protected" in any way?

Just curious.
