Hi folks,

I just scored some decent photos of the wreck of CNR 6166 and 6167 in 1943. Check them out:

Cheers,

I'm sorry to say 6167 looked better just after that wreck than it does today. ;) Hopefully that will change in the not too distant future Joe.

Ha! You should have seen her before the wreck. I have a photo from Al Paterson (Dave Shaw has it too) of 6167 sitting right next to 6168 in Truro, NS mere DAYS before the wreck. She looked absolutely fantastic when she was new.

Photos of the Montmagny Bridge and Station taken on May 23, 2011 which is the site of 6167's head on collision with sister engine 6166 on July 6, 1943.

I don't know what the engines said, but I'll bet the crews said it and then did it! (With apologies to Bill Cosby)

Well, no one got to hear what 6167's engineer had to say as he died in the cab. I also have a list of all the other casualties of the incident included with the article.
