There were some pictures posted a month ago or so on Trainorders showing 3985 under steam after some firebox and exhaust rework. It appeared that it wasn't combusting properly. Have these problems been fixed yet? I remember reading that these improvements included removing the circulators in the boiler. If they need to overfire the engine because of poor combustion, what impact will the lack of circulators have?
