I am watching this "La Roue" silent film on TCM right now, and it has loads of detailed railway operations footage from 1923. Well worth searching out.

I just walked past a CD reissue of the original 1950's "3:10 to Yuma" in my local supermarket.

The cover art incorporated a Chinese QJ 2-10-2.

I caught a couple of minutes of that and wondered what I was watching. Some nice cab shots at any rate, and one weird speedometer!

I thought that "tunnel" on the top of smokebox, extending back to the boiler looked familiar.

Why wouldn't they use original imagery, or at least something more authentic, like pictures of Nevada Northern's engines?

Sheeez!
