Post subject:  K-4 to K-5

I have been wanting an HO scale K-5 for the longest time to compliment my stable of K-4's. Ebay seems to have one from time to time but even in the most cruddiest of conditions, they always seem WAY out of my price range.
If I were to take a Bachmann Spectrum K-4 and kitbash it, how much time, money, effort, supplies (please be specific) would I need to make it look as close as possible as a K-5?

You might be better off with the Bowser K4s mechanism and the Bowser I1s Decapod boiler. The boiler dimensions of the two K5's was closer to that of the I1s than the K4s.
