My neighbor asked me the following question:


Doing a bit of research in my Mom's home town of Pottsville, PA, wonder if you have any information on both the PRR and the Reading, which apparently both had terminals in the town. I'm particularly interested in how both roads reached downtown, since from what we have determined so far, both had terminals within a few blocks of each other and perhaps they shared trackage rights. The roadbed possibilities are pretty limited in the Schuylkill River Valley. The PRR terminal has been restored, the Reading terminal is gone. Any info you might have would be appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas where to look?
