Post subject:  Lima Loco Question

About 10 years ago there was a proposal in Lima, Ohio, to create the " Locomotive Works National Railroad Heritage Center"
There were to be buildings in downtown Lima as an interpretive facility, trolly rides to the Lima erecting site. Several building were to be restored and renovated to house exhibits, a theatre, and excursions with a Shay locomotive on the original test tracks.

My question, did any of this ever happen, or are there still plans to have any exhibits like this in Lima ??
And, what are current exhibits at the sites of Lima, Baldwin, and ALCO that are available for the public to view ??

thanks

Not totally off topic, but I was reading an old issue of TRAINS the other day, and found that the LIMA company photographer's name was Jardine. His son, Allen, became one of the Beach Boys singing group. There was a photo of the whole family in the magazine, showing Allen at about age 10 or so (from memory). Wonder if he's a railfan???
