Folks, Recently, I have been reading back issues of the Seashore trolley Museum Dispatch. Several years ago Jim Schantz lead a team that re-gauged a PCC street car from Philadelphia which runs on 5 foot 2.5 inch track. Now the PCC trucks were designed to be moved from one gauge to another. But the job still involved a lot of heavy lifting, freeing up heavy rusted bolts and working with dirty grungy parts. Jim is a Board member who really knows what it means to get his hands dirty! Thanks for all your good work , Jim! I hope you have many more good years at the museum. Ted Miles, STM Member |

I have read the article and looked for Jim Schantz without success. Either he has change his appearance dramatically along with his life history(and I have known most of the crew at seashore for 30 plus years) or I would say this is an article about Donald Curry rather than Jim Schantz. |
