Forty-two years after the last A-1 was scrapped, an A-1 moves again. This is a brand new engine!

WOW. That'll shut up the army of nay-sayers they've dealt with over the years!
Still, you must wonder if in the future years when she needs a complete rebuild, will it sit dormant and cold due to lack of interest, or people saying they won't put effort into an engine with no real "history"?

The entire point of the exercise was that by the time she needs a complete rebuild, she'll be by far and away THE last mainline steamer operating in Britain--save for any future built-from-scratch replicas (several smaller locos are proposed, from scratch or existing boilers/frames/etc.) or calamity befalling 60163..........
