463 and 497 are in one bay; 484 and 488 in the other. 463 has some flues pulled in order to get at a broken stay. 497 is getting some staybolts fixed and truck problems attended to.
The big effort at the moment is to get 484 back on the line. She'll have a complete boiler and running-gear overhaul.

New CMO Steven Butler and the shop crew, are hustling!

While you are at it, check out the outside view.
That's 483 sitting in the snow outside the Chama Shop

I don't know if you can SEE cold, but right now it's six below zero on the Traincams balcony.

Any chance of O-Y ( or O-M ) being operated to open the line this year ?

Back in August when the weather wizards were predicting a heavy winter, we all thought that OY might be needed in the spring. Now it's January. We have barely 2 feet of snow on Cumbres Pass. Unless we get some major snow this spring, we'll not only not see OY; they'll be hauling water up the hill to put out fires and fill the tanks. We are in a major drought.

With good aim, OY could throw the snow into the tanks.
Drought here too (weather and steam).
