This photo album showing the two GG-1's stored on the siding in Cooperstown was posted on another board: http://picasaweb.google.com/thehayslip/GG149094917 It shows the two GG-1's, 4909/4932 and 4917/4934 (PRR/AMTK numbers), with the former apparently shoved down the track from its former position and prepped for its move to the Ford Museum in Michigan. Interestingly, in preparation for its trip 4909/4932 has been lettered as AARX 4934, meaning there are now two 4934's on that siding. Enjoy! |

Just a point of mention. The photographer and a few other were given a guide tour of the unit(s) by the President of Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad this past Sunday (July 20, 2008). They had full permission to be there. The CACV is run by a super person and staff, its a great operation. The roof and interior shots were taken of the unit not going to the Ford Museum. I was running the speeder trip that day and the photographer was one of our participants. If he could have gotten the GG1 on his trailer he would have taken it home with him to Virginia ;-) My speeder is the primered "gray ghost" that was in a few of the shots, its first run after a 4 year restoration....it did well. In any case the GG1 for the Ford Museum is ready to go, just waiting for CP to pick it up.
