WOW. That'll shut up the army of nay-sayers they've dealt with over the years! Still, you must wonder if in the future years when she needs a complete rebuild, will it sit dormant and cold due to lack of interest, or people saying they won't put effort into an engine with no real "history"? |

The entire point of the exercise was that by the time she needs a complete rebuild, she'll be by far and away THE last mainline steamer operating in Britain--save for any future built-from-scratch replicas (several smaller locos are proposed, from scratch or existing boilers/frames/etc.) or calamity befalling 60163.......... |
