Excursion-era photo of these engines in better times. Twist of fate is that 60, from Colorado, ended up in NJ, while 148 ended up dismantled in Colorado, for whatever cockeyed reason. The 60, built in 1937, was the last steam locomotive the GW bought and appears to have been a stock Alco export/shortline model. There were/are a couple very similar in Cuba. NCB/V&T 5 was very similar also.
