I ususally try do do an update on our small orginization in Sturtevant Wisconsin at least once or twice a year. We still have not moved to the new location the Village of Sturtevant wants us to move to, as they still have not graded the land and other things they said they would do. So we are still across the street from the old Amtrak Depot. We have started prep work on repainting our two Milwaukee Road Boxcars, we are currently sanding the rust spots and priming the sides of the boxcars. One of the boxcars that has not been preped yet has been tagged by a gang, that will be the next area work on to sand and prime that area to get rid of the Gang symbol. The plan is to repaint both boxcars to their 1961 paint job. We will be closing the caboose in Setember to start window restoration on the two bay windows of the caboose. as the wooden windows need to be rebulit and the fixed bay windows frames need some rust repair done to the window frames. |

Hey Mike, Is there much chance of getting one of the industrial lots in Sylvania so that you can have a museum located right off I-94? Down the road... operations through Union Grove to Kansasville? If the branch is still intact. I recall a CP (Milw) snowplow in Sturtevant. Is that still there? O. Anderson |

The Snowplow left sturtevant years ago, currently it is in Milwaukee Wisconsin, As far as moving to an area near the I-94 area, it would be nice, but we dont have the money. We are a small group and we just dont have the money for an area of land like that. We have been lucky that the Village of Sturtevant has worked with us and alows us to be on Village park land. The reason for our current move is the park land we are on is owned by CP Rail and the lease to the village went from a dolor a year to almost a thosand a year. The new location is land that the village owns (the new amtrak depot) I have learned now that CP is thinking of selling the land we are on next year, have not heard of a price though. o anderson wrote: Hey Mike,
