Hi Mr Riffin

There is a thread on Trainorders posted by Jack Deasy and a further thread
mentioning your name , suggesting you might have owned these and might know
what's to become of them. Someone suggested KCS had bought them. One's a coach
in CPR maroon livery and the combo (I believe it's the 9303) is in real faded VIA blue.

As far as we know, Mr. James Riffin does not read these forums, nor does he participate in any discussions on this forum.

But thanks for the update--now we can play "vulture" on these poor things and get them to a more deserving home...............

Someone had better do something with them soon. They're already pretty much just hulks. Last seen by me on the Sparrows Point branch in the sweeping curve down along the site of the old Bruning Highway GM plant just South of Holabird St. They can be seen from the Northbound Harbor Tunnel Thruway if you know where to look.

Mr. Riffin does not usually read the threads contained herein. He is aware of this site. He has, in the past, reviewed certain threads posted herein that have dealt primarily with himself.

Mr. Riffin is indeed the owner of the cars you seek information about. As was mentioned above, the cars have been heavily vandalized.

Since Brother Strohmeyer has seen fit to enter his appearance here and, upon rising, is claiming inside knowledge of the two rotting cars in owned by Baltimore's resident highly questionable shortline venture, perhaps he could also see fit to enlighten us on the prospects for the dozen or so rotting cars in Boonton, the removal of which, by his own highly questionable shortline venture in New Jersey, is now two years overdue.

Work began this week on scrapping the cars in Boonton. As of yesterday the scrapper has cleared the brush away from the cars and set up temporary fencing around the area. I hope to get back there tomorrow and see if the cutting has begun.
