Perhaps even sadder, the tracks into Belfast end just outside of town, and a sign on Route 1 still advertises train rides as a local entertainment feature. The move to kill the railroad has had long reaching effects that have only done damage to several suffering economies. Talk about cutting off one's nose to spite their face.
