Rumor has it that the Nation RR Museum in Green Bay, WI may be thinning out their collection. One of the purported 'victims' is the former GB&W Alco C430 315. It is said the 315 is long overdue for paint and is 'severely' corroded. DPK |

That would seem an odd choice for disposal. It was bought new from Alco by the GB&W and of course was the last new model offered by Alco. If I recall correctly, unlike the 4 surviving ex-NYC units, it doesn't have the high-adhesion trucks. Anyone in Scranton listening? I could see this one leading the Portland Turn through Cresco... |

The loco is a hulk-no engine, alternator, auxiliaries or traction motors. |
