One of you folks put a quote that begins, "I have only three commands." at the bottom of your e-mail

It has gotten my interest! I looked in Bartlets Familiar Quotations and on the Internet.

I would like to know who said it and when?

Sounds like the American Civil War; but it may be more recent.

Help!

Ted,

When you Google a phrase, put quotes around the whole thing so that it searches for that exact phrase. I got three results, this is best:

Rob,

the entire quote from here was, "I have only three comands. When I signal you to come, you come. When I signal you to charge, you charge. And when I signal you to run--you follow me and run like hell!"

Thanks all!
