The Strasburg Rail Road will be disposing of 313 surplus inner spring seat cushions and seat backs for walkover type coach seats. Also available are "old stock" wire reinforced corrugated tender hoses. This material is available free of charge to any organization, or individual who wants it. The only conditions are that you provide the labor to haul the parts out of our basement storage room, you provide the truck to haul it home. The deadline for removing this material is March 1st, 2002. Anything that is left on that date will go to scrap. There are 142 frames and springs in 3 different styles of seat cushions that are in fair to poor condition with no upholstery, and no hardware in place. There are 113 frames and springs in 2 different styles of backs that are in fair to poor condition with no upholstery, and no hardware in place. There are 28 frames and springs in one style of seat cushions that are in fair condition covered in green plush upholstery, with no hardware in place. There are 33 frames and springs in one style of backs that are in fair condition covered in green plush upholstery, with no hardware in place. These go with the 28 seats above. There are 20 tender hoses in various sizes and lengths. If you are seriously interested, contact the Strasburg Rail Road with specific dimensions of the parts that you are after, and we will see how many of that size that we have. Either use the e-mail address above, or call 717-687-8421, and ask for Wayne. You can also make an appointment through Wayne to inspect or remove the material. This must be done Monday through Friday during normal business hours. To see photos, e-mail me with a request. wayne@strasburgrailroad.com |
