Greetings: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. One of our neighbors, Bell Power Systems, had an Open House this afternoon which I attended. It turns out that they supplied the John Deere engine and Funk hydrostatic pump used in the new diesel locomotive at the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. Their General Manager told me that "The Cog" just ordered two additional engine/pump units for immediate delivery. An artical on the new locomotive appears in "PowerSource" (a John Deere publication) Vol.3, 2008 pages 12&13. J.David |

Cog Ry CMO Al LaPrade says diesel power will not replace steam, but rather help preserve it. http://www.deere.com/en_US/rg/infocente ... 8_Vol3.pdf |
