Hi everyone. I have an MU communicator whistle I want to restore. It is brass beneath some rather ugly faded green paint. Any recommendations of a paint remover I can use with out damaging the brass underneath? Thanks. Seth The Wilmington & Western RR sethajackson@hotmail.com |

Seth Use a heat gun to melt it off with a scraper and wirebrush. Follow by cleaning with a metal cleaner / polish. Surface treatments of clear laquer or even varnish can be applied to keep tarnish at bay. Dave irondave@bellsouth.net |
