Not unless it has changed drastically. 918 is a Perley Thomas double truck car with steel unibody construction that never was built into a building. Don't know what this wooden hulk might be.

Hmmm, that looks a lot more like an ET&WNC narrow gauge RPO-Baggage-passenger combine than a Perley-Thomas 900 series streetcar from New Orleans Public Service to me. Here's what a 900 looked like:

That wooden hulk is ET&WNC "Triple Combine" #15, not a streetcar!! She is currently stored in the paintshop at Spencer.

The paint is what makeup she wore for years as a standalone display at Tweetsie RR.

The combine that was in that picture is actually 1 bay over where 918 currently sits. She has just gone through a massive face lift. Several weeks ago we took her out to the sunlight for the first time in about 26 years. We had her sandblasted and then we primed her. 918 is really starting to come to life! We are excited about restoring this piece of history.

I crawled over 918 with a fine tooth comb when I was working on recreating Charlotte Trolley 85 from a chicken coop back in the 1980's. 85 was a home built replica of a Perley Thomas 2 truck Birney, but a bit shorter. Lots of similar construction to use to pattern new parts to replace missing fabric on 85. Please let me know if you can use some assistance.

I for one can't say I'm much of a fan of having to sign up for a website to read *one article*. I really don't want my personal info all over the web, I don't want to keep track of so many passwords (or reuse passwords) etc. and I assume most people feel that way.

While I wouldn't mean to splash water on anyone's contribution, if one posts such at all, it would probably be more helpful to perhaps summarize what we're about to miss :)
