Post subject:  CB&Q 710

A different kind of K-4. Built in the Burlington & Missouri River's Havelock Shops at Lincoln, Nebraska in 1901, it became CB&Q 710 three years later, renumbered again to 910 to open the 700 slots for F7 diesels. No date or place here, but likely southern Nebraska or northern Kansas in the 1930s. Donated to Lincoln in 1954, it sat many years in the park until moved to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa for a first class cosmetic restoration by the late Stan Matthews. It is now displayed at Lincoln's Union Station.
