I am the former owner of ex NYC M-405 a Brill doodlebug, and ex C&GT 501 a Brill 'bug converted to a trailer coach.

At one time it operated on the Old Colony & Newport Ry. a defunct tourist RR. It then went to the Delaware & Ulster Rail Ride, another tourist RR where it remains. (Still operating?)

Can anyone provide me with a scan of the train operating at these two locations? I would like to add it to my web site. (See Preservation)

Thanks

Canada & Gulf Terminal which acquired the NYC Bug and re-engined it with a diesel. The 501 was a Brill model 55 gas-mechanical coach converted into a trailer once the 405 entered service.

Just to let you know, The Old Colony and Newport Ry. is still in operation along Narragansett Bay in Newport, RI. During my last vacation to the Catskills, i saw your doodlebug, it was under tarp and it had a faded paint scheme. It didn't appear that it was operational.
