Not new, but interesting.

they have been working on that locomotive since the mid 1990s.

i just hope that it does not meet the same fate as the Swedish and Chinese locomotives in this country; which are not historic.

They are sitting in a corner rusting.

At least they choose a design from a British Railroad.

I applaud their efforts but, I think the jury is still out on that project.

Even with the large number of British locomotives in steam; I do wonder if the money might better have been spent on another of the Barry Scrap Yard locos. Perehaps pick one of a class that has not yet been restored to operation.

I do have to admit a certin interest in the Merchant Navy Class of locos named after famous ships and shipping companies.
