The 425 on the Lousisiana Eastern was number 2 her sister engine was number 4 They were both build for the GM&N # 425 & 426 in 1928. When they were with GM&O they were numbered 580 & 582. So this picture is of sister 426, not 425. And its a rare picture because 426 was scraped. Len. |

Yes 425 is indeed alive and well, It's ashame her sister isn't. That would have been neat to see both 425 & 426 double head. Len. |

Actually, they were numbered 580 & 581...and 580/425 carried the number 4 for a short time as well as the nuber 2. I think one of the easiest give aways is the 425's pony truck which had/has a solid trailing wheel....which if you look closely enough in that ebay photo, you can see. |
