At Superior, Wisconsin in 1961. Last GN steam operated in 1958, and it was waiting to be cut up.

Ah, the P-2 class. Dated from the mid '20's and lasted till the end. A good looking locomotive and a favorite among operating crews. I'm glad there are two of this class still among us - both under cover and waiting - just in case that ship comes in.

A number of GN locomotives were pressed in stationary boiler service to melt frozen ore from hoppers. I don't know if this was one, or if the locomotives utilized were from this class.
