What is the current status of Oakland, California's 16th Street Station. It was damaged in the 1989 earthquake, but never torn down. Are there any plans to save it? bobyar2001@yahoo.com |

bob, This news is at least a year old, but yes the building was saved sort of. The xterior will remain historically collect and the interior will be put to a non-rail use. An art school is suggested and similar uses. If I hear any more, I'll try to remember to let you know. Ted ted_miles@NPS.gov |
